Adoption Process
We will be holding dog adoptions at the Maui Mall Marketplace every Saturday from 11am to 3pm (between Longs Drug and Baskin Robins Ice Cream) – no dog meds will be available at the mall.
Adoptions are being held at the HARF Center every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 3pm or during the week by appointment only. Please call us at (808) 876-0022 to make an appointment.
HARF Families who need to pick up Flea/Tick & Heartworm preventions, can come to the HARF Center located at 1715 Kahekili Hwy. Wailuku, HI 96793 on Tuesday through Sunday from 11am to 3pm. This is the only time the prevention meds will be available.
Thank you for considering to adopt your new family member from H.A.R.F.! You are giving a homeless dog a second chance when you adopt, and we’d like to help you find the right pup for your ohana.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes! We offer each adopter the option to foster-to-adopt prior to making a permanent commitment. You can take up to a week with your potential new pet to make sure that the pet is a good fit with your family and that they get along with any other four-legged family members.
Please note: we do not allow dogs under the age of four months to be fostered prior to adoption. We view these young pups like babies and believe they should remain in the most familiar and stable environment possible prior to finding their forever home.
